Introduction

 

This is a one-year course that provides a career entry to work using Information Technology.  During of study time students are prepared for practical work in computing and information processing.

 

Entry Requirements

 

No previous knowledge of Computing is necessary, but the students must have passed at least two subjects in GCE (A/L) examination or similar.  Any computing experience would be advantageous.

The aim of this module is to provide students with practical experience of analysing, designing, documenting, developing, implementing, and testing a set of programmes or design and developing live practical models in various applications.  Emphasis should be placed on the realism of the project.  As far as possible a live working situation should be created, with monitoring of machine-time use, standards and deadlines.
